• Tokong Timor

    Off the coast of PulauTenggol is the Tokong Timor Dive site. This dive site is at the south western area of the island, a small rock at 300 meters. The dive site is reachable by boat at 30 minutes from the dock and is quite easy to find. Tokong Timor is also known as the White Rock, because of its rock littered terrain and large boulders. The dive site has an average depth of 16 meters and a maximum depth of 21 meters. The current is low here and the dive site offers good visibility at 10 to 30 meters. The dive site offers a good quality experience for divers with an experience of CMAS/OW as the area is a diverse ecosystem of interesting marine species.

    The dive site contains a vast coral reef which houses hundreds and thousands of interesting marine species. The popular activities at the dive site include underwater photography and marine biology as identification of marine species here is common. Dolphin and whale shark sightings are seasonal here. Other species spotted here include barrel sponges, feather stars and some damsel fish.
