    One popular diving site in Nusa Penida is the Sekolah Dasar Point (SD Point) which is approximately 45 minutes in traveling to site by speedboat. This site is stretch along the north coast of Nusa Penida. It is well known for its exhilarating drift dives, marine life and it is considered to have one of the most beautiful coral garden formations in the world.

    Sekolah Dasar Point Dive Site has a forceful current flow in the area. There is a lot of Anthias around and occasionally there are big fishes like sharks, giant trevally and during the season between June to October, Mola Mola or sunfish could be seen.

    The dive site’s marine life includes a variety of smaller fish and nudibranchs, huge queen angelfish and pufferfish, sunfish or Mola Mola, white-tip reef sharks, mantas and sometimes whales.

    Along the reef, a pontoon was set up which destructed a huge area of coral formations. Nevertheless, re-growth and reconstruction is now occurring. Still the undestroyed areas are wonderful.

    The site’s visibility is about 20 meters or 66 feet. Temperature ranges from 26 degrees Celsius to 29 degrees Celsius. Perhaps, the temperature may drop to 20 degrees Celsius. Sekolah Dasar Point is best for people who seek for extreme adventure.
