Previously commissioned as an exploration rig for the oil and gas industry, the platform was eventually converted to what we now have as Seaventures Dive Rig. Being only one of its kind and situated in the best possible location in Sipadan area, one of the world’s best dive destination, Seaventures has continued to draw a steady stream of scuba divers from all over the world.

Equipment rental is generally RM120 per day for a full set of equipment, depending on availability. Sipadan National Park fees are RM40 per day. PADI diving courses, and alcoholic beverages can be paid for at the resort. Guided Sunset (mandarin fish mating) and guided night dives are available upon request if you are certified.

For guests arriving at Tawau after 14:00hrs, they will have to stay for one night at Tawau or Semporna before transferring into Mabul Island early next morning. There are several accommodations to choose from in Tawau and Semporna. The most commonly used accommodation would be Heritage Hotel, Promenade Hotel and Marco Polo Hotel at Tawau and Seafest Hotel at Semporna.
For divers departing from Sipadan, 24hrs surface interval is strongly recommended. The surface interval period can be spend either in Tawau or Semporna to keep the accommodation cost low and reduce the traveling time to the airport during the departure day.

Seaventures Rig Resort Information
A PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, Seaventures is located about 26 kilometers south of Semporna in Sabah, Malaysia. It less than a kilometer away from the island of Mabul for muck diving site, 5 kilometers away from Kapalai Island for its wrecks and man-made reefs and 9 kilometers north of the famous Sipadan Island.
Seaventures House Reef equally proffers an allure with its interesting array of marine life featuring a good variety of macro stuff and pelagics. Unlimited scuba diving at the House Reef is inclusive of dive packages. All you have to do is gear up with your buddy, grab a tank and be prepared to be mesmerised by schooling varieties of tropical fish such as barracuda, groupers as well as cuttlefish, turtles, giant morays, ribbon eels, frog fish, scorpion fish, crocodile heads, lion fish, nudibranchs, ghost pipe fish. Blue ring octopus and whaleshark sporadically frequented the area, you might be lucky during your stay!

Family Cabins / VIP Cabins
This is the biggest and most spacious cabin among the three categories. It is comfortably furnished with queen sized bed, sitting and dressing area, remote controlled air conditioning system, ensuite toilet and bath with hot showers.

Standard Cabins
Standard cabin features either 1 double bed or 2 single beds. Each room is equipped with remote controlled air conditioning system and ensuite toilet and bath with hot showers.

Dorm Cabins
Dorm cabin is perfect for budget friendly travelling. The cabin is equipped with two bunk beds for a quad sharing accommodation. It is furnished with remote controlled air conditioning system and personal lockers. Toilet and bathroom are communal designed with six private stalls.
Scuba diving with Seaventures is an adventure not to be missed by seasoned divers. There are a good variety of PADI courses that are offered at the resort. PADI courses for beginners as well as professional certifications and specialties are available at the resort. Seaventures is the only resort in Sipadan area that offers PADI Cavern Specialty Course which is highly recommended when scuba diving at the renowned Sipadan dive site, Turtle Tomb. The resort has an impressive safety record and is extremely attentive to customer care making them a popular choice for returning customers.
The well-organised dive station is fully equipped to cater to varying requirements for scuba dive gear. The Rig’s dive boats are well maintained to ensure that transporting guests to the dive sites are comfortable and efficient.
